4K Program
Lake Country School's philosophy of the four-year-old kindergarten program is to create a safe, nurturing, and enriching classroom environment. Here, students are given the opportunities and guidance to explore, manipulate, and create to accomplish kindergarten readiness and foster a love of learning. Our curriculum is guided by the Wisconsin Model for Early Learning Standards.
We will be offering a morning and an afternoon session of 1/2 day 4K. Mrs. Kendria Bakken will be the 4K teacher for each session which will bring consistency in instruction for all 4k students. Mrs. Bakken has taught 4K at Lake Country School since 2019.
The class will meet Monday-Friday following the regular Lake Country School calendar, except that there will not be 4K class on district 1/2 days of school.

4K/NEW 5K SCREENING QUESTIONNAIRE
During the month of May, we will be sending out a 4K and new 5K screening questionnaire in preparation for the upcoming year. This presents an excellent opportunity for us to gain insight into our prospective students.
- The DIAL-4 Parent Questionnaire. This questionnaire allows you to reflect on and rate specific behaviors related to normal development.
- A request form to contact your child’s preschool, daycare, and/or 4-K teachers. We will only contact your child’s childcare provider or teacher on an as-needed basis. You will be informed before contact is made. In certain cases, we appreciate knowing previous childcare provider’s impressions, to help make a smooth transition to kindergarten and provide the most appropriate classroom situation for your child.
