Physical Education
Physical Education is an important part of every child’s development. A quality Physical Education program can not only increase a child’s physical competence and fitness level, but it can also reinforce the concepts of self-responsibility, cooperation, communication, goal-setting, and teamwork. Our goal is to give students an opportunity to enjoy physical activity in the hopes that they remain physically active for a lifetime.
This course was built following the Wisconsin Model Academic Standards for Physical Education with an emphasis on the following: Competency in Motor Skills and Movement Patterns, Movement Principles and Strategies, Active Participation, Fitness, Personal and Social Behavior, and the Relationship between Physical Education and one’s overall Health and Wellness.
