I have a Gifted and Talented certification with a MS in Administration from Purdue University. This is my fourth year teaching 5th grade mathematics at LCS. I am also trained in the Wilson Reading Program and Math Recovery. I love foreign language and travel. My husband and I met in Peace Corps Paraguay, where I served as a teacher trainer at the local college and my husband built latrines. We are blessed with four sons. Three of our sons are studying engineering right now at Purdue, MSOE, and WCTC. Our fourth son is a Sophomore at AHS, where I help volunteer in my free time with sports photography. In our greater community, I am volunteer as a member of the Oconomowoc Festival of the Arts Board. My family is very active and likes to camp, mountain bike, road bike, swim and participate in triathlons. All four of my boys have strived to be Eagle Scouts and have strong volunteer ties with the Greater Lake Country Area. In my quiet time, you'll find me taking pictures, reading, crocheting, gardening, painting abstract art, researching, or starting new projects. One of my favorite books is Sour Grapes. It is a good reminder to stay focused on the positive. --Mrs. Jacobsen
