Special Education Director/Title IX Coordinator Email Phone: 262.367.3606 x154 ABOUT
My name is DiAnne Pasholk and I am proud to be the Director of Special Education and Title IX Coordinator at Lake Country School. It is my belief that school should be a positive experience for children so they grow academically, socially, and personally. I will share my ideas about how I will collaborate with staff and parents to facilitate success.
My educational background includes a bachelor’s degree from UW-Eau Claire in elementary education/special education and a Master’s degree and certification in special education and administrative leadership from UW-Milwaukee. My experience includes teaching fifth grade and special education in the Menomonee Falls School District until 1990. I then stayed home to enjoy parenthood until coming to Lake Country School. I began as a teacher in the Lake Country School District in 1997.
Working with staff and students is a vocation that I truly love! My mission as the Director of Special Education and Title IX Coordinator is to facilitate success for each and every child, so they can reach their fullest potential. To accomplish this, I collaborate with families and teachers to ensure consistent high expectations in an atmosphere of respect, caring, and success. I believe that students need to leave Lake Country School with the skills and confidence to enjoy life-long learning and the ability to express ideas successfully.
My leadership philosophy includes three basic principles. Staff and students treat each other with respect, in a safe and positive environment. Everyone needs to accept responsibility and make the appropriate choices to ensure success. Teachers, I believe, teach curriculum, but more importantly, they teach children that are special, capable and unique. Students at Lake Country School should embrace their individual capabilities and use them to share their perspectives. My job is to encourage children to use their special talents and learning styles to develop important academic, social and communication skills. My goal is for children to believe that they can succeed in an accepting safe environment.
It is my belief that children have the opportunity to reach their fullest potential when teachers, administrators and parents develop a partnership through continued communication and collaboration. Therefore, I welcome parent ideas and input. In addition, feel free to contact me at any time with your thoughts, concerns and ideas at 367-3606 extension 154 or at pasholkd@mylakecountryschool.org.
